In Second Life, there are sites setup to visit. In the slum area, the families live in tin shacks where large number of people live under one roof. Children are out playing among the animals or doing chores in the street. In the school construction area, workers are shown using bricks to build schools. Donated money for schools will go to books, uniforms and materials. There are donation areas throughout the sim. It is encouraging to see that people from all over the world are interested in donated to LLK and the Feed a Smile project.

Quite a bit goes on in Second Life. And that includes benefit events. Although the Relay for Life is the biggest fundraising organization, there are many others, and sometimes it's just a handful of people. Yours truly dropped in on three recently, benefiting, "Feed a Smile," "Pixel to Pixel," and a gofundme for live singer Max Sabertooth's medical-related expenses.
This time of year in Second Life is known for it's events for the Relay for Life. But it is not the only charity going on in Second Life. BloodyKitty dropped by an event for "Feed A Smile" this Sunday. Taking place in the sim of the same name in "The Lavender Field," the event raises funds to feed children in Kenya.
MadPea Productions is hosting a celebrity auction in support of Live and Learn in Kenya's Feed-a-Smile program. Held at Mad City Park on Sunday, February 23, from 8AM to 6PM SLT, we will have a professional emcee and live entertainment.
Grey Lupindo reports on the "Feed a Smile" charity at Lavender Field. Representing a real-life charity based in Kenya, Brique Topaz runs both the organization and the location on the Grid, which offers both a nature area one can relax in, and a concert area for raising money during events.
