FF Announcement: Jail & Bail - Patch Linden (Postponed)

 

The ever-vigilant Pawlice have discovered that Patch Linden has been involved with the Notorious Moles ransacking the candy store for a nefarious attempt to emulate Hansel and Gretel. Shocking! Candy Detox is ordered in a Gingerbread Waffle Jail. There is evidence! There is candy! There is a rumor that the Pawlice will eat both while Patch offers bribes – big, stupendous, amazing bribes – to the Fairelanders to bail him out! How will it turn out? Come to the Golden Hour on the hour, dance around with DJ DaveOSaurus’s tunes and see!

Jail & Bail takes place in the Faireland of The Golden Hour.

 Taken while shopping. One lady had some little gingerbread men with angry expressions whacking her foot with candy canes. Why would they be upset? I could think of one reason.

The Winter Burn 2022

 

On the last weekend of January, the Winter Burn took place. A spinoff event of Burn2, the art and music festival had much to see and hear. With the theme of Gingerbread Houses, some of the exhibits looked a little like leftover Christmas decorations. But it was still quite an original event. Yours truly was there, and took some photos.

Burn2 Burning Man Regional Winter Burn 2022

We kick off the new year with a new outlook with a lot of frosty fun for you.

Winter Burn will take place January 28th through 30th, and we have a delightful theme for this one: Gingerbread Houses (with Jack Frost Effigy).

Twas the winter of 2022…
Gingerbread Man was heading home for the winter after the holidays. Oh, how much he missed his village home, with gingerbread houses and treats scattered every which way! He said to himself, “I will run just as fast as I can” then sang, “You can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man!”

At last he arrived - what could it be? There was much more than he expected to see!

Jack Frost had nipped! Home was in drifts! Blankets of snow soft as whipped cream! Oh, what a dream! Icy sculptures and frosted art on the ground, gifts from creators the whole world around. Candy lined paths ensured that no one got lost. And in the midst of it all…
the beloved Jack Frost!

And so this is how Burn2 brings you a Winter Burn

Press Release: Bay City Activity Center Gingerbread House Competition

It is believed that the tradition of decorating gingerbread houses started in Germany in the early 1800's and is often attributed to the famous Grimm's fairy tale story of Hansel and Gretel. Join us at Orleans (122/93/26) for a fun holiday tradition!

SCHEDULE:
Dec 15th-20th - Contestant Submissions Accepted
Dec 21st-23rd - Judging
Dec 24th - Reading of "Hansel & Gretel" + Winners Announced!

RULES:
-Houses cannot be scripted. -Houses must fit into standard prim.
-Houses must be under 15 land impact.
-Texture size must be 512x512, or under.
-Only one entry per avatar.
-Last day to submit house is December 20th.

PRIZES:

Three Categories with prizes of L$500 for 1st Place, L$250 for 2nd Place, and L$100 for 3rd place
Most Creative
Most Original
Most Artistic

Best Overall = L$1000

All contestants will receive a special gift from the residents of Bay City!

Send entries to Ayame Kintsugi (Zombiegal Resident) with a notecard specifying the name of your creation to be displayed on an index card alongside it. Please note that this means your entry must be transferable. 

Winning houses will be announced on Christmas Eve, with prizes distributed to the winners following announcement. All contestants must submit their finished Gingerbread Houses before December 20th to be eligible for winning prizes.
