SL Newser's SL16B Exhibit Appears on Designing Worlds
(Click here if the video fails to play)
Designing Worlds has it's second video .
of the Second Life Sixteenth Birthday up. At about 37:22 into the video, Saffia Widdershins and Elrik Merlin drop by the Second Life Newser SL16B exhibit. They also have a few words with yours truly (and you get to hear why I describe myself as having "a voice for newspapers."). Saffia called Silvia Ametza's creation, "A very clever build, using perspective," saying it looks much bigger than it is further away.

Prim Perfect Relauch Party
Congratulation to Prim Perfect, the magazine of prim addicts as they call
themselves. September 18 was the relaunch of the magazine and it was celebrated
with a party held in the Castle at the Home Expo 5, sponsored by Prim Perfect.
This is an event in support of the Relay for Life. Elrik Merlin, Editor and Camera, supplied the music for the event. Saffia Widdershins, Publisher and Editor, greeted everyone as she danced. Many stopped over to congratulate the staff on the relaunch. There was also an announcement that the magazine has migrated to its own website, www.primperfect.net. There is an intro to the relaunch issue with the promise, “There’s a whole new look, and new features (as well as some old favorites). You’ll get even more gorgeous eye candy from our photographers – and great articles from our writers!” After looking at Issue 52 I have to agree. The older issues can also be found on the website.
Prim Perfect is only one of their many ventures which include Prim
Perfect and The Primgraph Magazines, Designing Worlds. Happy Hunting! and The
Blackened Mirror television shows (all on treet.tv, slartist.com and aview.tv)
and The Quest for the Golden Prim web comic. Subscribers to the blog will
be migrated over to the new site so you will not miss any news.
Prim Perfect Publications and its staff is to be lauded for its involvement in events of Second Life in the past years, present and in the future. The SL Newser congratulates and wishes them well.

Avi Choice Awards
On Sunday Dec 16th at 10 AM, the Avi Choice Awards took place. Sponsored by the Relay for Life Christmas Expo, the event took place where four of the five Xmas Expo sims met up. Elrik Merlin and Saffia Widdershins of "Designing Worlds" announced the winners.
Despite the extra room multiple sims offered, the event was extremely laggy, and many relied on SL TV footage to see. There were also complaints in Relay chat about people getting "bumped" and asked to leave. The event had also been rescheduled from Friday night due to the tragedy that day. So a number of people who won were not there to accept their awards.
Among those winning were the Builders Brewery for best group, Maximillian Kleene for best singer, Racer X's Giant Snail Races for favorite sporting event, and the Relay for Life as favorite event. Racer X said upon winning, "Just found out today that I was even nominated. So didn't get a chance to spam my friends into voting for me, so thank you all that did, that's really AMAZING!! Thank you all for your wonderful support ... we hope you all have as much fun watching the show as me, Tindy, Salem and Safra have making (it)."
The Steelhead community had several nominations, including Fuzzball Ortega for best DJ.

A little Steampunk Xmas story, by Saffia Widdershins and Elrik Merlin
"Saffia and Elrik are visiting New Babbage to deliver a shipment of seasonal gifts from Prim Perfect Publications to the urchins of New Babbage. Saffia will be meeting our old friend, the Assistant Maceholder of New Babbage, Victor Mornington, to deliver the gifts, while Elrik hopes to get a look at some of the exciting new steam-powered technology developed for the winter season by their ingenious engineers.
