Last Call at the Green Meadows Ballroom
On July 3rd, the Green Meadows Ballroom held it's Red White and Blue event. This event was special as it would be the last event there for quite some time, possibly for good. Owners RECoyote Mindes and Perri Prinz announced they would be closing their club.
About a dozen and a half residents, probably close to two dozen at one point, attended the party. The normally 250 Linden prize was bolstered to over 3000 for the event.
The dancers dressed up in red white and blue, or their avatars already came in one or more of the colors. Cynthia Farshore DJed for the event. She closed the party with "The Final Countdown" and "Kiss Him Goodbye."
Originally called Perri's Xanadu, Club Green Meadows has been around since 2009. Perri is a science-fiction/fantasy writer, and renamed the club after one in her stories. Despite Perri's popularity as a skilled classic rock DJ and numerous complements of the club's design, attendance has normally been small with the DJs and hostesses making less in tips.
Skylark Lefarve, a hostess of the club, sent over a a dropbox page with a number of Green Meadows pictures (Click Here).
Perri will still continue to DJ, performing at Club Zero Gravity, Cutlass, and other locations.

Perri Prinz’s Green Meadows Club
One club that's been around for a few years that was built as a tribute to classic rock is Green Meadows, formerly known as Xanadu. Run by Perri Prinz and RECoyote Mindes, the club has events a few times every week. But as good as the music is, Perri being an expert of the music of the time period, the club is well designed to the point of being a work of art, in addition to a nearby building having a gallery of science-fiction/fantasy art. Recently, Grease Coakes went to Perri and Rec to ask about the club.

Green Meadows Club Reopens
On Sunday night, January 13th, the Green Meadows club had it's Grand-Reopening. Dropping in at 6PM, when the party was to begin, there were about a dozen people there. Cynthia Farshore was the DJ for the night. There were a few technical difficulties at first, but co-owner Perri Prinz got Cynthia logged in. And after that it was "Music from the Far Shore" as Cynthia played a number of classic rock tunes, keeping with the club's 60s and 70s theme.
More people showed up as time went on. The style of the club was complemented, as well as the lighting and special effects. There was 1000 available on male and female contests boards for the "Most Fabulous" avatars. The club had first appeared in the Sunweaver region a few years ago, known then as Club Xanadu. The club was and still is co-owned by ReCoyote Mindes, and Perri Prinz, a DJ in Second Life as well as a science-fiction/fantasy writer known for her "Spectral Shadows" serial. Perri's music specialty is classic rock from the 60s and 70s, and the club reflected that, named for a movie about men chasing their dreams who renovate an old building into a club. Since then, the name was changed to avoid possible trouble. But people continue to call it "Perri's Xanadu." The club had been closed due to real life difficulties Perri had, but now is back.
The club will continue to play on Sundays at 6PM.HV Community (67, 207, 4051).

Green Meadows Club Reopens Tonight
On Sunday January 13th, the Green Meadows club in the HV Community sim will be reopening. The event is at 6PM, with DJ Cynthia providing the music. Green Meadows, owned by Perri Prinz and ReCoyote Mindes has been around for a few years. It was originally named Club Xanadu in tribute to the movie of the same name about people chasing their dreams. But it was later changed to avoid possible trouble with the makers with it's producers, renamed for a club in Perri's sci-fi/fantasy story "Spectral Shadows." But fans have continued to call it "Perri's Xanadu." The club itself was made as a tribute to the music of the 60s & 70's. Perri herself is known for having a great collection of music from the time period.
When the FCA club alliance was formed, Green Meadows soon joined it. The FCA meets once a month at one of the club's auxillary buildings. But due to real-life difficulties, Perri closed the club to regular events for a time. Now the club is back, and ready to party. Between parties, one can play one of the video arcade games on the second floor.Green Meadows is at HV Community (67, 207, 4051).

Manager Wanted for Green Meadows "Xanadu" Club
Perri Prinz is looking for a manager for the Green Meadows Club. Originally named club Xanadu, it was later renamed Green Meadows after a club in Perri's stories to avoid possible trouble with the makers of the movie. But her friends have continued to call it "Perri's Xanadu." The club itself was made as a tribute to the music of the 60s & 70's. Perri herself is known for having a great collection of music from the time period, though is currently taking a break from DJing.
It is requested that those applying to be manager be familiar with the music of the 60's and 70's, as well as the 80's. Perri is flexible as to what hours the manager can run events, though there is the goal of coordinating with other clubs of the FCA, the club alliance Green Meadows is part of.
Green Meadows is jointly owned by Perri Prinz and RECoyote Minds, and is at HV Community (67, 207, 4051)

Relay Bike Rally at "Perri's Xanadu"
At 4PM SL time, The Passionate Redheads held their Biker Rally event. The location was the classic rock club Green Meadows, also known as "Perri's Xanadu." Club owner Perri Prinz acted as the DJ, spinning a number of tunes, mostly from the 60s & 70s. Many of course were biker-themed.Several of the bikes were contributed by Twistmy Gears of the Road Rash group. But there were others from Daniella Looming and Brandi Streusel. Besides dancing, a few hopped on the bikes to spin around, or kick up a lot of smoke and noise in a "burnout." Close to two dozen people showed up, including Cocktail Lounge owner Rich Mordly, and FCA club alliance leader Nydia Tungsten.
About 4,000 Lindens were raised at the event, bringing the total raised by the Passionate Redheads team to 35,000 even. The Green Meadows Club is at the HV Community sim at (68, 207, 4051).

Green Meadows Club Reopening Tonight
For some time, the Green Meadows Club (aka Perri's Xanadu) has had it's regular events on hiatus. Tonight, the classic rock is coming back for a "Feeling Groovy" late 60's party."Spring's in the air, and time to look back to the late '60s. Go get your bell-bottoms, your peace symbols, your pie-dyed t-shirts, and anything else psychedelic and bubblegum. DJ Perri will provide the classic tunage, with 500 L on the board. It's a blast from the past, and you're all invited. Peace out."
Formerly known as Xanadu, the club offers a 60's/70's feel, plus owner Perri Prinz is among the most knowledgable DJs in Second Life of the era, as well as playing top music from the 80's to today.
The event is tonight from 6-8 PM at HV Community (68, 207, 4051)

Help Wanted: Managers Needed for Castaway Cove, Green Meadows, Clubs
Two clubs are looking for people to help manage them, due to the owners having multiple demands in Second Life and real life. These are the Castaway Cove and Green Meadows clubs.
The Castaway Cove club was built fairly recently, a few months ago. Built in the Kalmeere Paradise sim, it was intended to be a temporary club until the sim was developed for residential use. But plans for housing have changed, and the club will be untouched for some time. Most likely, it will stay at the sim in some form.
Castaway Cove is owned by Nydia Tungsten, a longtime DJ whom has also ended up with ownership of a few clubs. This beach club has a unique layout, resembling a wrecked pirate ship broken in two. The dance area is located in between. There is a small shopping area, some board games to play between events, jet skis to boat around the sim's ocean area, and a "Primtionary" game, possibly the only one around outside Luskwood.
Castaway Cove is in Kalmeere Paradise (18, 184, 21)
The Green Meadows Club has been around for a few years. Originally opened as Xanadu by Perri Prinz and RECoyote Mindes, it was developed to be a "classic rock club for people who enjoy both popular and obscure rock music from the 70's and 80's." The club temporarily closed in 2010, but was reopened a year later to a cheerful group happy to see its return. Officially, it was renamed the Green Meadows Club, but fans continued to call it "Perri's Xanadu."
The club's exterior has a strong resemblance to the Pan Pacific Auditorium in Los Angeles, which was the setting of the club in the movie "Xanadu." The inside of the club is made to look like a 70's disco, with sacks of vinyl records next to the DJ booth. The place has a small store area nearby, as well as a teleport to Perri's art gallery with illustrations for her "Spectral Shadows" stories, and more.
Green Meadows is located at HV Community (61, 201, 4051)
Both venues are part of the FCA club alliance, of which the various clubs work to coordinate their schedules to avoid time conflicts. Those interested in managing Castawave Cove are asked to send a notecard to Nydia Tungsten, and for Grean Meadows send a notecard to Perri Prinz.
