Sometimes things look a little differently from the outside. That's the message Theonlyjohnny seems to have gotten with his latest dealings with the ADI combat group. Although once with them, he is no longer. And in today's commentary explains why he doesn't have the same feelings about them as before.

Commentary: Hackings On the ADI Combat Group
Since writing about the ADI combat sim in June, Theonlyjohnny Resident has continued to frequent the sim, engaging in a little first-person-shooter gaming with other residents. Unfortunately, the group has been the subject of some suspected hacking attacks. In his article for today, Theonlyjohnny expresses a few thoughts on the matter.

Second Life Airlines
With the ability to teleport around, the idea of a "Second Life Airlines" may sound archaic. But for some flying fans, it's no joke. Theonlyjohnny Resident came across a number of airplane groups known collectively as "Second Life Airlines" or the SLA. He took a closer look to see just what's involved with joining one as a pilot.

Pine Lakes
Theonlyjohnny's explorations recently took him to a place called Pine Lakes. This Roleplay community got his attention for a few reasons, the sim design, the first class deli, and more. But what truly got his attention was the people.

ADI In The Wasteland
On the lookout for combat roleplay areas, TheonlyJohnny Resident has found that got his interest. The Wasteland sim, made to look like the ruins of an occupied Washington DC, is held by the ADI combat group. The plotline is that ADI took the city from the inhabitants, and not only dares others to take it back, but is willing to sell them the guns to do it. Theonlyjohnny gives his write-up on the group and place.

Tellus
Theonlyjohnny has been looking for roleplay sims, and found one that caught his attention: Tellus. Tellus caught his attention as it has a city of greenery thriving in the middle of the desert. But there was more to the place than that, as he would write about.

Roleplaying Basics
There are a number of roleplaying sims across Second Life. Some, such as Steelhead, involve a light amount of it, as while it's not required it is encouraged. For those in the Grid new to RPing, as it's sometimes called for short, they may not know where to begin. Theonlyjohnny Resident offers a few basics in this article which can be applied in and out of virtual reality.

Ripoffing Artists
Shortly after writing about Arcadia Asylum, Theonlyjohnny came across some bad news. Someone was copying their goods and offering duplicates for sale listing themselves as the builder, with no credit given to the real makers. They way the copier went about covering his tracks was so clumsy, it in itself was a red flag.Readtheonlyjohnny's article in Extra.

A Look at Horror-Themed Sims
Reporter Theonlyjohnny Resident is back in action. Interested in what the horror sims in Second Life had to offer, he decided to check them out for himself. As what one might expect, not every single place looked as advertised. But just how many made the grade and which were the best at delivering their worst?

Greed in Stores
For some in Second Life, shopping is a fun experience, and they take plenty of time to go about and see what places have what item for how much. While there's no shortage of customer-friendly stores and malls on the Grid, not everyone it seems has the buyer's interests at heart. Theonlyjohnny Resident writes about two places he came across which to him were charging a lot for just a little.

Marketplace Problems
The Marketplace isn't always what it's cracked up to be. But sometimes one has to worry more about glitches. Theonlyjohnny has a few things to say about the trouble he had with shopping via the Marketplace from his search jammed full of demo items to being outright scammed.Read Theonlyjohnny's article in Extra.

Commentary: Lucky Eggs - The Image, The Truth
Theonlyjohnny Resident came across a kind of game in Second Life called "Lucky Eggs." Somewhat resembling 'sploders widespread across the Grid, the point is to contribute Lindens for a chance at a prize. But something seemed amis to Theonlyjohnny about these eggs, and made a few observations.

Commentary: Scripting and its Corruption
Today, Theonlyjohnny Resident has scripting on his mind. But not just any scripting, but the kind done for ill. Theonlyjohnny talks about how scriptors with bad intentions can do things such as teasing people with games with no prize, and worse such as sim bans for trivial reasons.

Rock N Rustic Ranch
In his traveling about Second Life for clubs, Theonlyjohnny came across one that was a bit different. The "Rock N Rustic Ranch" had a country theme, playing country music. There was also one other feature that he noticed that made it different from other places. So what did he think of the club?
