Guy Fawkes Day
Bonfire Night." English residents of Second Life celebrate the event as well, and invite others to join them in the festivities. And for those looking for fun, fire, and a chance to blow something up, ths can be quite a holiday.
Looking around the Grid, I heard about something going on in Britannia Village in the Green Park sim. Looking around, I saw this castle with lines from a poem. Going inside however, it proved empty. But there was a portal to the local cinema, where one could catch a BBC show about "Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot." Green Park (100/50/33)
Besides the theater, there's also an event planned for today at 1PM SL time, going to 4PM and perhaps later. The poster promises, "Music, bonfires, dancing."
The popular (and packed) London City is supposedly having an event as well at Noon SL time. Be on the watch for Guy Fawkes events across the Grid.
"Remember, Remember, the fifth of November."

We should have an on-the-hour gathering in a sim where everyone gets a silly gun, then searches for and shoots a guy in the fawkes mask.ReplyDelete
