On Monday August 8, Olivia Newton-John passed away. She had been undergoing treatment for cancer, her third bout with the illness. She was 73. A singer and movie actress, she was best known for her role in "Grease," which 40 years later remains among the top movie musicals.
At the venue "A Woman's Touch," there was a small event in her honor yesterday, Tuesday August 9, (by the time I got there, most of the people had left), with Sue Moadeng playing various songs of Newton-John's.
There were also expressions of sadness in the Relay for Life in Second Life group, and well-wishes for Newton-John's family.
