Club Xanadu Reopens
Last night at 8PM SL time, November 6, Club Xanadu opened it's doors to a regular event for the first time in over a year. And a number of people dropped by the classic rock club, some from the Happy Vixen which had just finished it's Tuesday night events.
Cynthia Farshore was the DJ for the club's Grand Reopening, with the setup behind her looking like one huge collection of records.
Perri Prinz and RECoyote Mindes, the cowners of the club, were out on the dance floor with the crowd. The music went on for two hours, Cynthia's last song being, "The Party's Over" by Journey.
"Thank you for coming and making the re-opening of Perri's Xanadu a success!"
Club Xanadu is located at HV Community (67/207/4051).

Xanadu Grand-Reopening Tomorrow
After a period of inactivity, the "Xanadu" classic rock club will soon be back in business. Perri Prinz, the current co-owner and manager, announced the club will have four events this week, starting with a Grand Re-Opening party on Tuesday at 8PM SL time. The theme will be "Come As You Are."
Xanadu, sometimes called "Perri's Xanadu" or "The Vinyl Museum," was established in 2009. It is owned by Perri and RECoyote Mindes, and is named for the movie in which the Pan Pacific Auditorium is restored to a nightclub. There have been a few periods of hiatus when real-life interfered with the management, but the building has always stood there since it's construction. Among some of the more noteworthy events were the Newser's Fifth Anniversary party and the "Fallout Party" in which Perri played tunes from the time period the game gets much of it's music. The club went inactive in July last year. Currently, Perri is looking for more DJs, and an assistant manager. For now, it's schedule is Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 8-10PM SL time.

Goblin Cave Moved to Caledon Downs
Cynthia Farshore, the owner of Farshore Radio, has moved her Goblin Cave. When first built in Pacific Waters a few years ago, it overlooked the Farshore Field airport. And when the airport moved to Sunlight Bay, the cave moved with it. But during the air show in June, it was revealed the hill the cave was in interfered with air traffic. But there was a solution: move the venue to Caledon Downs, which Cynthia acquired in April.
The main feature of the cave is the party and social area, where the music to Farshore Radio is streamed between events. People can dance on the floor, chat at the tables, or order a drink from the Orc bartender. The gremlin bartender from earlier times apparently ate after midnight. Taking the stairs, one can go down to a gaming area with pool, Greedy, and other games. Beneath that is the jacuzzi area. Above the social areas are picturesque cave, garden, and waterfall areas which one can explore around a little, relax with a companion, or turn up your draw distance and look around the surrounding area.
On the evening of Tuesday July 31 at 7PM, Cynthia held a grand reopening party for the venue, which a number of people attended. So far, the Goblin Cave is fitting in with it's new home region of Caledon quite well.http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Caledon%20Downs/100/90/30

It first opened in May 2009, it's design based on the Pan-Pacific Auditorium which in the movie "Xanadu" was turned into a club. Perri has a reputation for being a great DJ, with one of the best selections of 60s and 70s classic rock. The club has temporarily closed to regular events in the past, last doing so in May 2015 due to the real life difficulties of the owners. But the club would still have occasional events, such as Perri's birthday party. The club was the setting of the Newser's Fifth Anniversary party.
The club currently has job openings for hosts and DJs. Those interested please instant-message Perri Prinz

The Happy Vixen's Grand Re-Opening Party
On Monday June 2, the Happy Vixen beach club had it's Grand Re-Opening Party. For months, the club was used only for special events. Then Malisa Baily, recently returned to Second Life after a hiatus, heard about the beach club and offered to run it as manager. And so, the club was back in business. The event went from 6:30PM SL time to after 8:30 PM.
"Hello Everyone! 'The Happy Vixen' is back and starting our grand reopening of 'The Happy Vixen' Beach Club, We have DJ Brexx on the stage with our new staff. 1500L$ are up on the board for our Grand Opening! Bikini's and Swim trunks abound the best swimsuit will win our Grand Prize. Bring your best swimsuits, dance to the music and, wag your tails, and scales and come over to THV, right below Club Zero. "
Besides Brexx Nirpaw as the DJ, Rheia Silvercloud and Itenhe Demar were there as dancers. Despite some technical glitches early on, the party was a success with club owner Nydia Tungsten and her real-life son Kody dropping in to join the festivities.
The prize, raised to 2500 Lindens, was won by Miyuki Naidoo. Miyuki was a little surprised that the lone neko at voting time in a mostly furred party would win. But the results speak for themselves.
The Happy Vixen will continue to have regularly scheduled parties every Monday from 6 to 8 PM SL time (or longer). It will also have a special party this Friday from 5 to 7 PM as part of Second Life Newser's birthday celebrations. The club is owned by Nydia Tungsten, and is part of the FCA club alliance.

"The Vinyl Museum" Reopens
On Monday December 2 at 8PM SL time, a club in the HV Community sim became active once again. Perri Prinz, a sci-fi writer and a popular DJ was reopening her club. It was now known as "The Vinyl Museum," a reference to Perri specializing in 60s and 70s music.
The Green Meadow Lands ballroom has morphed into The Vinyl Museum, and is now beginning its first event. Come on up and enjoy some happy vinyl era music played by vinyl era bunnies. And if they get enough listeners the bunnies might even throw some money around. The theme is do your own thing or come as you are. We don’t care what you wear, as long as you look good. The prize is 200 L for every 5 listeners we see on the DJ board.
I had talked to Perri earlier. She was confident she could now keep the club up and running on a regular basis. With few others having events at 8PM, she decided to play at that time slot and keep at it to build an audience over time. She would also have some help, HollyAnn Lapina (Lacy Carver). On nights that Perri would be unable to play, HollyAnn would perform in her place. Also, there would be no themes. Every night would be a "come as you are" with all visitors eligible to win as long as they were dressed decently. The crowd of the grand opening was somewhat small, a little more than a dozen. But a happy time was had by all. More cash was added to the board and the 200L became 2000L. At the end of the party, it was announced that the votes were evenly divided among four winners.
The club has been around for quite a well. It was originally called Club Xanadu, but with other Xanadu style clubs around, people called it "Perri's Xanadu." The name would persist even when the club was renamed the Green Meadows Club. Set on a platform high over HV Community, the club is based on the Pan Pacific Auditorium, which was the building used in the movie Xanadu. The interior is dominated by a discotech dance floor. Having the look of a disco club from the past, the place has a number of posters and album covers up. The stacks of vinyl records
The Vinyl Museum will play every night at 8PM and is at HV Community (67, 207, 4051).
