Burn2 Begins

 

Burn2, the largest and longest running annual art and music festival in Second Life, got started yesterday. This is the virtual version of the Burning Man festival that takes place in Black Rock Nevada every year, and helped inspire members of the early Linden Lab to develop Second Life. 

The event goes on to Sunday October 17, with numerous exhibits and music events across several sims. The theme this year is "The Great Unknown." The high points of the event, the Burning of the Man and the Temple Burn, aren't taking place until next weekend. But there's plenty to see, hear, and experience every day.
